Local domestic violence shelter Hope’s Wings has one of their biggest events of the year coming up Friday: called an Evening of Hope. The event takes place at Chenault Vineyards, and will feature live music from Exile and Julie Tussey and of course tons of food. Shelter director Jennifer Lainhart explains that tickets are still on sale, but they are going fast!
Lainhart also explained that the shelter is at full capacity right now, and that it takes quite a bit of funds to keep the shelter operational for these women and children, so any help is needed. She adds that support for local charities such as theirs is crucial, as they do not receive much outside funding.
Tickets are $100 and can be purchased online.
