A juvenile has been taken into custody following the investigation of a threat at Madison Central High school.
A heavy police presence on campus was warranted after an alleged threat of a shooting came across social media overnight. In an Instagram post, an anonymous user said they were going to bring a gun to the high school and “shoot anything that moves”.
According to Erin Stewart of Madison county schools, Kentucky state police and Richmond police were notified immediately to put a security plan into action.
Stewart says the situation has now been resolved, and thanked Richmond Police and Kntucky state police for their dedication to the investigation.
