Local authorities along with the Madison County Coroner’s office responded to a reported murder tonight in the 200 block of Barker Lane, off of 1016 in Berea.
64-year-old Eddie Matthews of Berea was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound around 8 p.m. Monday evening.
According to sources, a person of interest is being questioned in the case.
That person is now confirmed by the Madison County Sherriff’s office to be Jake McClure, age 34, who has been booked into the Madison County Detention Center for murder.
