Multiple Richmond Police and Madison County Sheriffs units were involved in an early morning high speed pursuit of a subject that is believed to have been involved in a robbery of a local business in the early morning hours Wednesday in Richmond.
The pursuit continued at high rates of speed onto interstate 75 northbound, where the pursued vehicle reportedly has hit a tanker truck and fled on foot in the area just past exit 95.
Officials have launched an extensive manhunt for the suspect in that area. Madison County Fire and EMS were dispatched to the scene and reported no apparent leaks to the tanker.
