WBON-TV9 has been investigating a high-risk traffic stop and multiple arrests that occurred on the Eastern Bypass near Enterprise rent a car Tuesday afternoon March 21,2023 around 6 p.m. Madison County Sheriff’s agents reportedly made the stop with guns drawn.
Today, Wednesday March 22, 2023, Kentucky State Police revealed Detectives with the Madison County Drug Task Force have now concluded an extensive investigation, with the arrest of six individuals accused of trafficking in controlled substances.
The investigation, which began in February, alleges that Andrew Lowery, 49 years old of Detroit, MI, Erik Oliver, 36 years old of Richmond, KY, Britten Combs, 31 years old of Detroit, MI, Eddie Griffin, 50 years old of Detroit, MI, Jason Oliver, 36 years old of Detroit, MI, and Jennings Harris, 63 years old of Richmond, KY were involved in trafficking in illegal narcotics in Madison County. They have all been arrested and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center, charged with firearm and/or drug trafficking related offenses.
In addition to the arrests, the Madison County Drug Task Force seized Fentanyl, Heroin, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, U.S. Currency, and multiple firearms, one of which was reported as stolen.
The Madison County Drug Task Force was assisted in the investigation by Gateway Area Drug Task Force, the Richmond Police Department, and Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
