**UPDATE: Officers responded to the scene due to report of gunfire. However, upon arrival officers interviewed both parties that had been involved in a verbal altercation around that time period. Police continue that both parties denied that a firearm was involved or had been fired. The investigation is ongoing.
Richmond Police and other first responders remain on the scene on Boggs Lane in Richmond near the Madison County Health Department. WBON TV9 has unofficial reports of several gunshots being fired at the location. Officials responded a little after 8 PM this evening to the location, and the residence remains an active scene at the time of the publication.
