Following the national news involving protests and Confederate statues, WBON-TV wanted to get the Madison county-wide perspective about civil war history and get answers on what kind of statues and memorials there are in our area (if any). Director of Historic Parks and Properties for the county Phillip Seyfrit filled us in on the memorial question, as well as provided some background information about the unique history of Madison County.
Seyfrit also gave a sneak peak of the Battle of Richmond, which is coming up at the end of the month.
