The Back to School season is ramping up, and locally, that means the Back to School Bash held by Richmond Parks & Rec is coming up.
The 2021 Back to School Bash will be Thursday, August 12th from 11AM-2PM at Irvine McDowell Park (345 Lancaster Avenue). Parks & Rec officials say the event is a fun way for the students in the Richmond community to kick off going back to school.
During the Back to School Bash, the Richmond Teen Center can provide the youth in Richmond with much needed school supplies. The event will have several community organizations present to help connect the local students with various opportunities in Richmond. There will be free backpack giveaways, vendors, inflatables, music & more.
If you’re interested in making a monetary or item donation, please call (859) 623-8753 or email [email protected]. There is only ONE WEEK LEFT to make donations. Event organizers say they are looking for items such as paper towels, paper, notebooks, crayons, etc.
