There were multiple hot-button topics last night during the Berea City Council forums: in which most of the 13 candidates showed up to comment on questions submitted by citizens.
However, only one incumbent; Steve Caudill took to the panel, with the rest being the new faces vying for one of the eight spots on the Council.
Some of the issues discussed were diversification of tourism, the local economy in Old Town and Chestnut districts, and the ongoing drug epidemic.
