James Mcguire, the subject of the golden alert from this weekend that caused brief panic in the Madison County area has been found. According to officials he is being transported to a local medical facility for an evaluation and treatment.

The Madison County Sheriff’s office is asking for assistance in locating a person missing since 11:10pm on August 13th, 2021. James r. Mcguire was reported missing Saturday the 14th at 08:15am. According to family members, Mcguire left his residence to go for a walk at night on the 13th and never returned home. Mcguire is an 83 year old white male, approximately 5’9/160lbs, bald with blue eyes. Mcguire suffers from dementia and is diabetic.
