The Madison County Coroner has confirmed to WBONTv that the body found wrapped in black plastic discovered off Lancaster Tuesday afternoon is that of a Missing Scott County woman.
The body was located at a Madison County storage unit and has now been confirmed to be that of Sheena Baxter of Georgetown. The coroner said that they were under instructions to not move her body when they first arrived on the scene, and the remains had to be sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.
Baxter’s ex-boyfriend, 53 year old Joseph Hicks, had appeared in court hours before the discovery, which was only miles from his home. He is now charged with murder among other charges.
