A Lexington Police Detective was arrested this afternoon, February 28, 2023, by Kentucky State Police stemming from an investigation ongoing since December 2022. Ryan Raker, age 39 was taken into custody in Estill County by KSP and charged with second degree criminal abuse of a child 12 years or younger. Raker was arrested by officer Hacker of the KSP and transported for processing at the Three Forks Correctional Center in Beattyville.
The Estill County Grand Jury handed down the indictment and warrant for Raker, an Estill County resident. This is a breaking story and WBON-TV9 is investigating for more information on the case. Estill County Sheriff Chris Flynn is heading up the investigation. The Lexington Police Department says Raker has been relieved of all sworn duties and transferred to an administrative assignment in accordance with department policy, while the case is under review.
