A week-long event organized by the Kentucky State Police, which aims to support the Special Olympics of Kentucky, starts today. The “Cover the Cruiser” event looks to raise funds for the Kentucky Special Olympics in a creative and fun way.
Through the sale of Special Olympics stickers, which are then used to cover a KSP vehicle, donations of a minimum of one dollar will be collected to support the organization. The organization’s summer games were cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.
Currently, KSP Post 12 is having their event at the Frankfort Kroger located on Brighton Park Boulevard. That event will last until 3 p.m. today. KSP’s Post 7 will host their event this Thursday at the Richmond Kroger at 890 Richmond Plaza.
