Former 100.7 The Coyote Morning Show Host and Radio Icon Karl Shannon Passes Away

Long-time area broadcaster Karl Shannon passed away last night. Shannon had a 40 year career in broadcasting in Lexington, Louisville and Nashville and spent several years as the morning show host at 100.7 the Coyote. He had friends throughout the country music world. He retired from radio in 2018 but continued to do voice-over work across the country, and was known for appearing as Santa Claus for charitable events. Karl Shannon was 68 years old.
