MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – An Estill County man faces multiple charges this morning after deputies say he hit a state highway worker in Madison County and drove off.
The sheriff’s office says 43-year-old Shannon Mays ofIrvinee first hit a state highway truck on Panola Road and then hit the worker while leaving the scene.
There is no word on how seriously the worker was injured.
Mays was arrested and now faces several charges including assault, wanton endangerment, and leaving the scene of an accident.
