Emergency responders were dispatched to Benson Drive around 4 pm. Wednesday afternoon to respond to an erratic driver. The incident occurred at the extensive apartment complex in Richmond, just off of Irvine Road/ Hwy 52.
The driver of a single vehicle apparently drove through the garage door of one of the storage buildings at the Benson Drive Apartments, and then attempted to drive out the other doors, causing extensive damage to the property including three garage doors and possible structural damage to the building.
The driver was reportedly injured and taken to an area facility for treatment and evaluation.
