One person has been reported dead on scene in Madison County early this morning after a crash on Interstate Highway 75 has caused severe traffic
Officials said three lanes of I-75 were blocked as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. The crash involved two vehicles and occurred in the northbound lanes near mile marker 86 in Richmond.
State transportation officials said they expected the lanes to remain blocked until about 9 a.m.
