Attorney General Andy Beshear announced today the indictment of an Estill county man on theft by deception of $10,000 or more as well as persistent felony offender. 30-year-old Michael D Miller, according to the indictment, allegedly used the victim’s credit card; buying thousands of dollars worth of merchandise instead of using the card for a home remolding project he was working.
Beshear’s Department of Criminal Investigations handled the investigation, in which they tracked purchases between March and May of 2017. If convicted on both charges, Miller could be looking at a sentence putting him behind bars for up to 20 years.
