The Madison County Sheriff’s Office along with Madison County 911 has received several complaints of scam calls throughout the county.
The callers identify themselves as employees of the sheriff’s office and threaten arrest due to warrants.
The caller then asks for money to avoid arrest.The number provided is 859-353-3661 which will be answered with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office greeting.
The Sheriff’s Department reiterates that these are scam calls and ask to not provide money or personal information to the caller.
