Richmond families won’t be tricked this Halloween season, as Richmond Parks and Rec’s Halloween Hoe-Down is scheduled to go on with some minor adjustments.
The festival will begin at 6:00pm and continue until 8:00pm on October 22nd. This year’s event will be conducted as a drive-thru at Lake Reba Park in accordance with COVID-19 safety protocols. Vendors will be set up along a pre-determined route and guests will drive along to view the decorations. A limited number of goodie bags will be distributed to guests who want to participate in the drive-thru.
The Eastern Kentucky University Recreation & Parks Administration REC 460 Class helped organize the games, decorations, and contests this year. They will be using this as a service learning project.
