Thanks to the quick work of law enforcement and an observant citizen, Christmas was saved for some children according to the Montgomery County Sheriffs office. Police report that on Tuesday, December 14th at 5:30 in the morning a suspect was observed taking children’s toys from the donation drop-off for the Arms of Love at TK’s Gymnastics.
MCSO and Mount Sterling PD units stopped her leaving the lot with a car full of toys that she had allegedly taken. The toys were returned to the drop-off. Police arrested 55-year-old Patricia J. Lucas of Mt. Sterling. Lucas was lodged in the MCRJ.
