Estill County’s Trent Singleton Elected to KASA Board of Directors

(Frankfort, Ky) Dr. Trent Singleton, principal of Estill County High School, has joined the Kentucky Association of School Administrators Board of Directors as the Role Group Director representing Secondary Principals.

KASA’s Role Group Directors bring the voices of administrators in specialized leadership positions to the association’s board. Representing Secondary Principals, Singleton will help ensure that the experiences and priorities of Kentucky’s middle and high school leaders inform KASA’s advocacy, professional learning and member services.

“Trent brings a student-centered perspective and a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing secondary school leaders,” said KASA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Rhonda Caldwell. “His commitment to strong relationships, high expectations and positive school culture will make him an effective representative for principals across the commonwealth.”

As principal of Estill County High School, Singleton leads a school community responsible for preparing students for graduation and the opportunities that follow. His work includes supporting teachers, strengthening school culture and helping students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for college, careers and life.

In his new role, Singleton will serve as a statewide connection for secondary principals, bringing their perspectives to KASA’s board while encouraging collaboration among leaders facing similar responsibilities and challenges.
