The Fayette County Coroner was on the scene at old Richmond road today following a motorcycle crash.
The name of the deceased has been released as 49-year-old John D. Kepler. The incident occurred in the 6800 block.
According to reports, Kepler collided with a guardrail as he was trying to avoid a deer. He was wearing a helmet, but suffered a severe head injury and was pronounced dead from multiple blunt force traumas.
The roadway was blocked for collision reconstruction following the deadly accident.
