Police took a woman in on multiple drug charges recently, following a traffic stop that occurred on Main Street in Richmond when her car was allegedly observed drifting in and out of lanes.
Officers report that the car, driven by Dorothy M. Agee, had even crossed the double yellow line into oncoming traffic. When the traffic stop was conducted, police report that Agee seemed drowsy, and told officers that she was eating pizza which caused her to drift lanes.
Police ran her information, but upon returning to her vehicle, she was allegedly slumped over asleep in the driver’s seat. The citation continues that the multiple officers on scene were able to wake her and perform sobriety tests, which were failed by Agee. Agee was then taken to the hospital, but denied a blood test.
When at the jail, a syringe with what police report Agee stated was used for heroin was located. A dark brown powdery substance believed to be heroin was also recovered from Agee’s person once at the jail.
Agee was lodged in the detention center and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, possession of heroin, promoting contraband, and tampering with physical evidence.
