Richmond Police recently responded to a call regarding a man that the victim reported attempted to get into her home and then forcibly kissed her.
Police report that 22 year old Joseph Odom of Mount Rushmore Drive had allegedly forcefully kissed a female victim and forced his way into her apartment. The citation details that Odom also allegedly said sexually explicit things to the victim, resulting in her being fearful that she was going to be raped.
Odom told police he had never spoken to the victim, but it was verified through Snapchat that the two had previously spoken. He was also allegedly accused of giving his girlfriend a black eye, which police say was confirmed by multiple witnesses.
According to the report, the victim repeatedly told Odom she wanted him to leave, and that she was fearful of him.
Police add that when Odom was in the interview room, he allegedly became irate when learned he was going to face charges, and apparently struck the interview room door.
Odom was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree sexual abuse and fourth-degree assault.
