If you have any expired, unused, or unwanted medication now is your chance to safely and properly dispose of it.
The annual Drug Take Back Day is set for Saturday, October 23 from 10 AM to 2PM. The Richmond Police Department says that this year, they are working with the M.O.R.E. (Madison Opioid Response and Empowerment) Program as they continue community outreach programs and the ongoing fight against the drug epidemic.
They add that the annual event is just one of the many ways to work towards saving lives in the fight to reduce addiction and prevent overdose deaths.
Bring your unused prescriptions to the Richmond Police Department and they will properly dispose of them. However, RPD says do not forget to remove the personal information on the label.
