Lee Cooper is local man who loves baseball, biking, and helping people. He is working with the ALS Association to bike from Salisbury, North Carolina to Richmond. Cooper will be beginning his ride on May 7th this summer. He will be unaccompanied on his ride and will be camping along the way. Everything he needs for his journey he carries with him on his bike, including food, a tent, and a first aid kit. He has done several other rides for other causes including Mothers Against Drunk Driving and to help find a cure for MS. Cooper is a lover of baseball and chose to bike for a cure for ALS because the disease is named after baseball player Lou Gehrig.
