Richmond, KY – Madison County Judge Executive Reagan Taylor announced today that he
will seek a fourth term in office, reaffirming his commitment to continue building One
Madison County — a community rooted in progress, and doing what is right for its people,
even when it’s not the easy or popular path.
Since taking oice in 2015, Taylor has led with a steady hand and a clear vision: to make
Madison County stronger, safer, and more connected. His leadership has focused on
collaboration among city, county, and state partners; investing in infrastructure;
strengthening emergency preparedness; making government more eicient and improving
the quality of life for every Madison Countian.
“From day one, my goal has been to bring people together — not divide them,” said Taylor.
“Building One Madison County means listening to every voice, working across boundaries,
and making decisions that serve the long-term good of our community, not just the short-
term headlines. That’s what leadership should be about.”
Under Taylor’s leadership, Madison County has seen transformational progress — from the
completion of therenovated historic courthouse and major road improvements, to
expanding animal shelter partnerships and modernizing public safety communications. He
also guided the community through the successful closeout of the federal Chemical
Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program (CSEPP), ensuring that Madison County
remains a national model for preparedness and cooperation.
As he looks toward a fourth term, Taylor says his focus will remain on responsible growth,
public safety, financial strength and regional partnerships that keep Madison County
strong.
“We’ve proven that when we work together, we can accomplish big things,” said Taylor. “But
our job isn’t done. The next chapter of Madison County is about continuing to build a better
future — one rooted in strong leadership, accountability, and doing what’s right for the
people we serve.”
Taylor, a lifelong Madison Countian and small business owner, lives in Richmond with his
wife,Kelly. They have two children and are active in local schools, community events, and
church life.
The 2026 primary election will be held on May 19.
