An Irvine man was recently taken into custody after he allegedly caused a disturbance at DoughDaddy’s Doughnuts. The Madison County Sheriff’s Department report in the citation that when police pulled up, the man was observed slinging his arms at the pumps and screaming.
Upon getting out the cruiser, the deputy reports having to get the taser out as the subject, later identified as Joshua Riddell, came to them with fists balled up and threatening the deputy.
When asked his name, Riddell told police that the was “Joe Biden, the President of the United States”.
An off-duty paramedic intervened to help get Riddell to the ground to be hand cuffed. Police say they had difficulty talking to Riddell, as he kept saying he was president, that he “owned the whole world”, and that he was also president of the hell’s angels. Riddell, according to the citation, was unable to sit still and showed signs of drug intoxication.
Those on scene said that Riddell was originally screaming and causing a disturbance at the business.
He was arrested and charged with menacing, public intoxication of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest as well as a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear.
