The Richmond Police Department report responding to a call regarding a physical altercation in the parking lot of Mcdonald’s on Brandy Lane.
While en-route to the scene the caller advised authorities that an alleged black male had “knocked out” another male and was allegedly going through the victims truck. Upon arrival, officers report locating 29 year old Eddie Rose, Rose allegedly advised officers that the victim started the instigation by head butting him. Police on scene report not finding any injuries on Rose’s head, only a small laceration on his arm.
Police then spoke to witnesses on scene, who all reported they witnessed Rose instigate the altercation by punching the victim. Witnesses further stated that once the victim fell from the punch Rose proceeded to stomp on the victims head twice before entering the victims truck.
Rose was detained and asked to speak to his attorney, upon searching Rose, Officers report finding the victims wallet in Rose’s front pocket.
Police spoke to the victim who stated he he bought some food and when he began walking back to his truck, he then “blacked out” and couldn’t remember any other information.
Rose was transported to the Madison County Detention on charges of Robbery, Criminal Mischief and public intoxication.
