Mt. Vernon police are investigating a homicide after a woman was reportedly found inside her business with a head injury. According to police, the victim was a 54-year-old woman who owned Glitter Box in Rockcastle County.
When police arrived following the report, she was located deceased around 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
Her body has been sent to Frankfort for an autopsy, but police believe this is a homicide investigation. No other details regarding manner of death or suspects have been released at this time.
