A motorcyclist, that fled Kentucky State Police in a high-speed pursuit Monday afternoon in Richmond, has been apprehended.
According to the KSP citation, the officer observed a Honda motorcycle with no registration plate yesterday around 5 p.m., on the Robert R. Martin, Bypass.
That’s when authorities say the motorcyclist, now identified as 20-year-old Harley Dunn, accelerated at speeds over 150 miles an hour in an attempt to elude law enforcement. While doing so the cyclist disregarded numerous traffic control devices and stop signs with no regard for others, according to the report.
The pursuit was terminated due to heavy afternoon drive traffic and safety concerns.
Later Monday night, an officer with the Winchester Police Department spotted a motorcycle matching the description given earlier by KSP. That motorcycle was being driven by Harley Dunn, according to the officer.
According to KSP reports, Dunns motorcycle helmet, had a GoPro camera attached. That was seized and logged into KSP post 7 evidence, pending a search warrant for possible footage.
Dunn was arrested in Clark County and transported to the Madison County Detention Center Monday evening.
