Just before three today, a large swath of Estill County lost electricity. Jackson Energy is aware of the large outage in the Irvine area on the Rice Station sub that has 1,268 members without power. The company has not said what has caused the outage.
Crews are now assigned to find the issue and to work on restoring power as quickly and safely as possible. (Some areas impacted: Pea Ridge Rd, McKee Rd, Dug Hill Rd, Red Lick Rd, Walton Rd, Matt Riddell Rd, Quail Run Rd, Murphys Ford Rd, Wagersville Rd, McSwain Branch, Kimball Rd, and others)
