The MCHD was notified of 6 new COVID-19 related deaths, for a total of 25 COVID-19 related deaths to date for Madison county since the start of the pandemic.
The health department reports that the state and the counties are being thorough in gathering all the necessary records in order to be accurate in releasing any information. However, they add that this thorough multi-organizational process takes time, and while these deaths were reported on one day, it does not mean they all occurred on one day.
