Some long-awaited news was verified by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet today. For those of you who have anxiously been awaiting the reopening of the KY 52 Kentucky River bridge in Irvine, they say weather permitting, and if there are no unanticipated problems, the span is expected to be opened to traffic on this Tuesday, Aug. 16.
They add, some final work remains to be done on the project, and the bridge will reopen after the contractor finishes those items and removes its equipment and the traffic control devices that have barricaded the bridge.
