On Tuesday afternoon, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department arrested a woman who allegedly allowed her children to be cruelly punished throughout the last few years.
According to the complaint warrant, Judy Wilburn let her partner, Jonathon Wilburn, “torture” and “participate in cruel punishment” of her children under 12 years old from January of 2015 to December of 2018.
During this time frame, the children were allegedly struck with multiple objects including belts, cords, and a shovel. Further reading of the warrant also states that the children were forced to soak their hands in hot water as a form of punishment.
Judy Wilburn also reportedly slapped one of the children in the face with such force, that it produced a black eye.
According to Madison County Deputy Michael Stotts, Jonathon Wilburn currently has a warrant out for his arrest and is still at large.
