A high speed chase has resulted in a search currently going on in Madison County, including the use of police helicopters.
According to KSP, a Trooper observed a black Ford Edge on I75 North speeding, and attempted to initiate a traffic stop at the 85 mile marker northbound. KSP says the pursuit stayed in Madison County but continued on multiple County roads. The car eventually crashed off Boonesboro Road at Settler’s Trace Road, and the suspects fled on foot.
At the moment a chopper is in the air and troopers are also on foot searching for two suspects. The car’s plate was out of Massachusetts, but KSP is not sure if it is a rental at this point. WBONtv will update with more information when available.
