Jackson County officials were notified of an accident Saturday evening involving a vehicle and pedestrian which occurred along KY Highway 421, north of Sandgap.
According to officials, Richard L. Rose was walking along the highway when he was accidentally struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle stayed with Jones until authorities arrived to the scene.
The investigation is closed and no charges have been brought against the driver as the incident was declared an accident according to the Jackson County Coroner.
