On Monday in the early hours of the day, Richmond Police Officers report being dispatched to the Southbound Area of I-75, in reference to a motor vehicle allegedly traveling north in those southbound lanes.
Officers report locating the vehicle traveling north in a southbound lane at a high level of speed. Reportedly an officer proceeded to weave in an out of traffic with lights activated in an attempt to stop the on coming vehicle. Allegedly the driver 58 year old, Marini Tarcisio came to a slow stop after police positioned their vehicles in a way to block him.
Upon contact with Marini Tarcisio police report noticing he was very unsteady on his feet and needed assistance walking. Marini Tarcisio.
Marini Tarcisio admitted to police that he consumed 6 alcoholic beverages prior to his drive home in Lexington. Tarcisio also allegedly admitted to not having an operators license or the required insurance for his vehicle. Officers of the RPD report issuing multiple DUI tests that Marini Tarcisio failed.
Tarcisio was transported to Baptist Health Richmond where he was treated for possibly injuries and soon arrested on charges of wanton endangerment, failure to provide operators license, driving under the influence and failure to maintain required insurance.
