The Madison County Sheriff’s Department report recently responding to an alleged Domestic assault between a husband and wife around 2:00 am along Bogie Mill Road.
Upon arrival, officials say that the husband advised authorities that his wife, 34 year old Kristen Daugherty had allegedly become physical with him. Police witnessed the husband of Daugherty with a busted lip and a bite mark on his leg. The husband reportedly told police that she had been drinking alcohol and became upset with him and began striking him with her fist.
Several hours later, according to police, they made contact with Daugherty at another residence where she admitted to arguing and making physical contact with her husband. Daugherty allegedly claimed that it was out of self defense.
Daugherty was later arrested and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center on a 4th degree assault charge.
