Kentucky State Police, Post 7 have arrested a man that is accused of shooting his pregnant girlfriend over the Labor Day weekend.
Skyler Reese was discovered shot in the head at a Lee County home in Beattyville on September 4th. Police have charged Reese’s boyfriend, Logan Biggs, in connection to the shooting. A close family member of Reese alleges that Biggs left the scene with the weapon following the incident.
Reese, who is seven months into her pregnancy, was transported to UK Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Family members of Reese have been providing updates on her condition via social media posts. Currently, Reese is in stable condition and doctors were reportedly able to observe her unborn child moving during an ultrasound conducted earlier this morning.
Kentucky State Police arrested Biggs on Saturday morning in Richmond.
Biggs is currently booked in the Madison County Detention Center, where he has been charged with 1st Degree Assault.
