Alleged Strangulation Investigation Leads to Incest Charges for Richmond Couple

Following a recent arrest, Richmond Police Department citations report that a strangulation and domestic violence incident has led to additional charges and an indictment warrant for a Richmond woman, including alleged incest.

Richmond Police report that 35-year-old Clyde Carter had been arrested back in July of this year when police were called to the Turpin Drive area following a domestic dispute.

Officers arrived and spoke with the victim, Jassica Brown, who told police that Carter was upset with her because he wouldn’t allow him to have a key to their apartment.

Brown, according to the citation, said Carter then grabbed her by her throat and pinned her against a couch.

Carter allegedly admitted to grabbing the victim by her shoulder, but denied grabbing her throat. It later came to the light that the two were allegedly in a relationship, and were related.

Carter was taken to the Madison County Detention Center after this incident and charged with strangulation. Brown is currently lodged in the Detention Center and is now looking at an incest charge.
