Richmond Police were recently dispatched to a situation on Fairview Street, where a subject was said to be injured from a knife wound.
When police arrived, they spoke with the victim who stated that Alvin D. Gross had allegedly attempted to break into his apartment while brandishing a large kitchen knife. The victim also told police that he had attempted to keep Gross out of the residence, but that he continued to push his way inside while holding the knife.
Two of the residents then got in an altercation with Gross, according to the citation, where they had to push him to the ground and retrieve the knife from him, resulting in lacerations to their hands.
Police caught up with Gross, who allegedly lied about where he was and denied knowledge of the altercation. However, the sheath matching the knife was located on his person. Gross was arrested and charged with 1st degree burglary and 1st degree wanton endangerment.
