Candidate for Madison County Attorney Tyler Frazier is currently working in the Commonwealth Attorney’s office as a prosecutor, and says he is adequately prepared to continue the campaign in his first run ever on the Democratic ticket.
Frazier went to law school at Chase at Northern Kentucky University, and practiced in Northern Kentucky for a time before returning back to his roots in Madison County.
As a prosecutor, Frazier says he has seen the crippling impact firsthand that the drug epidemic in Madison County has had on the court system. Therefore, he is a strong proponent of finding alternative options for treatment for addicts.
We also discussed the overcrowding jail, and his plans to help ease the continually full dockets throughout the county.
Another important topic mentioned was the modernization of the current County Attorney’s office, which Frazier said is still not digitized. This makes things fall through the cracks, and is not the most efficient way to run dockets through the office.
Frazier also explained how much he wants to work with all local law enforcement agencies, as there needs to be a cooperative effort here in Madison County with law enforcement and the courts.
