On February 27,2018 around 2:30 pm Sgt. Wanda Shelton with the Lancaster police department was stopped by a citizen in a white ford ranger at the end of Marksbury Ave and Baker St. The citizen advised Sgt Shelton that a young man with a red back pack had tried to steal his truck while it was parked at the Valvoline Express where the citizen works. The citizen stated he ran out and noticed someone was inside his truck, when it stopped the citizen opened the door and the subject got out and ran through the old VIP parking lot. The citizen stated the subject had took his ball cap and had left a burning Newport cigarette in his floorboard. The subject Bradley Kimberl was apprehended a short time later at 3:22 pm by Sgt. Shelton and Officer Smith in a breeze way at Village Square apartments and met the description the citizen gave.

The subject had a large knife and syringe in his pocket. In his backpack he had a digital scale with white residue, which subject stated was meth. He also had in his possession the victims ball cap and a pack of Newport cigarettes. Subject was read his rights and admitted to trying to steal the victims truck because he was trying to get home.
