Lexington police now confirm someone found a body around 10 am this Saturday near the Clays Ferry Bridge and reported it to authorities who have been on the scene since.

A large and active scene continues, along with the Fayette County Coroner on the scene to remove the body. According to our media partner Lex18, police are unsure of the cause of death.
Traffic continues to be heavily impacted in both north and south bound lanes, and police did not give an estimate when the scene or traffic would be cleared.
