A woman turned herself in Monday afternoon after being accused of slashing tires.
An investigation conducted last week revealed that two tires were slashed on a vehicle parked at Pitstop parking lot, one miles west of London. Video surveillance photos were posted on the Laurel County Sheriff’s Facebook page of the female suspect and the vehicle allegedly involved.
In addition, newspapers and TV stations also ran the surveillance photos and police had received numerous tips from area citizens.
As a result, 52-year-old Brenda Burns turned herself in and stated that she was the suspect that the sheriff’s department has been looking for.
Burns was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
