A female was arrested in Laurel County after police were dispatched to an alleged assault complaint involving an 11-year-old male victim.
The incident occurred off Pepper Hill Drive, 1 mile west of London. Officers found 39-year-old Jyll Burgett lying in the living room floor of the residence. She was reportedly determined to be under the influence.
Burgett was allegedly yelling, screaming, and creating a disturbance at the residence. According to a report, there had apparently been an altercation where Burgett allegedly struck the 11-year-old victim.
Burgett was charged with 4th degree assault, controlled substances public intoxication, second-degree disorderly conduct, second-degree wanton endangerment.
