Kentucky State Police post 8 in Morehead was contacted by the Powell County Coroner on June 23 in reference to a death investigation at an Airbnb in Powell County.
Investigators say when they arrived on scene, they located a deceased female inside the residence from an apparent drug overdose. She was identified as Kristen Morris, 32, of Winchester.
After a lengthy investigation KSP Detectives arrested Brian P. Epperson, 44, of Winchester, charging him with one count of Murder.
KSP was assisted by Powell County Coroner’s Office and Winchester Police Department. The case remains under investigation by Detective Brad Watson.
