The city had its second reading for its annual Section 8 housing budget for the 2019 fiscal year. The budget was created by estimation of revenue and resources for the operation of the city government.
An employee of the Police department will also be retiring, and two new officers will be hired. Chief of Police James Ebert stated that he plans to hire more officers in anticipation of more officers retiring.
The city also approved a lease to help solve the childcare shortage in Richmond.
